Larian Studios’ “Baldur’s Gate 3” Will Not be Available on Xbox Game Pass

In disappointing news for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, developer Larian Studios has officially announced that its highly-anticipated game “Baldur’s Gate 3” will not be available on the gaming subscription service.

In a recent interview with foreign media outlet “IGN,” Larian Studios founder Swen Vincke confirmed that “Baldur’s Gate 3” will not appear on Xbox Game Pass. Vincke mentioned that the studio has always maintained that the game would not be part of the Game Pass lineup. According to Vincke, “Baldur’s Gate 3” is a massive game that does not require additional “micro-transactions” from players, and the studio believes that players should pay a reasonable price to support the game’s development.

Vincke also emphasized the quality of “Baldur’s Gate 3,” stating that “you get what you pay for” and that the game is well-made. “IGN” reported that according to HowLongToBeat data, completing the storyline of “Baldur’s Gate 3” will take at least 57 hours, with additional time needed to complete side missions and achieve 100% completion. The extensive gameplay of “Baldur’s Gate 3” supports Vincke’s stance against including the game in the Xbox Game Pass library.
