Paris Saint-Germain and France striker Kylian Mbappé finished sixth in the 2022 Ballon d’Or standings on Monday (October 17) in Paris. Champion of France and top scorer in Ligue 1, Mbappé, 23, suffered from the elimination in the knockout stages of the Champions League by Real Madrid of Karim Benzema. Mbappé has scored 28 goals in 35 Ligue 1 matches, 39 goals in 46 matches including the C1 and the Coupe de France, and finally 10 goals in 9 matches with the Blues. Always in the top ten of the Ballon d’Or since 2017, Mbappé finished 9th in 2021, 6th in 2019, 4th in 2018, his best ranking, and 7th in 2017. There was no edition in 2020 in reason of Covid.
