The citizens of Bamberg collected almost 29,000 euros in donations for the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria. The city of Bamberg is currently reporting this. The Turkish-Islamic Cultural Association Bamberg has purchased a living container for the earthquake victims. A portion of the donations also goes to social organizations and the Technical Relief Agency, which provide on-site assistance. Mayor Andreas Starke called the fundraising campaign a complete success in a recent statement. According to Starke, it shows the solidarity of Bamberg with the victims.
