jpnn.comCENTRAL JAKARTA – Chairman of the MPR RI Bambang Soesatyo (Bamsoet) confirmed that the MPR is ready to hold the 2024 MPR Annual Session on Friday (16/8) at 09.30 WIB at the Nusantara Building, DPR/MPR/DPD Building Complex.
President Joko Widodo will attend and deliver a speech reporting on the performance of state institutions at the 2024 MPR RI Annual Session.
“The MPR Annual Session is a forum to uphold people’s sovereignty, develop democracy, as well as a vehicle to grow public trust in state institutions as implementers of people’s sovereignty,” said Bamsoet after reviewing preparations for the implementation of the MPR Annual Session at the Nusantara Building, DPR/MPR/DPD Building Complex, Jakarta, Thursday (15/8).
The Deputy Chairman of the Golkar Party explained that the MPR Annual Session will be held together with the DPR and DPD.
The MPR Annual Session will be attended by approximately 2,022 invitees, consisting of 1,222 invitees inside the Nusantara Building and 800 invited guests placed in the plaza area of the Nusantara IV Building, DPR/MPR/DPD Building Complex.
The invitations consist of the president and vice president, former presidents and former vice presidents, former MPR/DPR/DPD Chairmen, heads of state institutions, all MPR members, ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, ministerial-level officials, general chairmen of political parties, heads of non-ministerial government institutions and agencies, heads of the MPR Constitutional Study Commission, heads of religious mass organizations, and exemplary representatives from all over the country.
“The MPR has made various preparations to ensure that the 2024 MPR Annual Session agenda runs smoothly and successfully, including through a consultation meeting with the President of the Republic of Indonesia on June 28, 2024. To solidify the preparations, a dress rehearsal was held at the Nusantara Building, DPR/MPR/DPR RI Building Complex,” said Bamsoet.
According to him, in addition to the 2024 MPR Annual Session agenda, the MPR will also hold several national agendas.
