by time news

Chennai: Bamaka MLA Venkateswaran said in the Legislative Assembly that the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team, which does not have Tamils, should be banned.

In the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, the debate on the sports department grant request is being held today (April 11). Participating in this discussion, Dharmapuri Legislative Assembly Constituency Bamaka MLA Venkateswaran said, “The IPL tournament which attracts a lot of youth in Tamil Nadu is currently taking place.

Tamil Nadu players are not given importance in the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team that has participated in this competition. Therefore, CSK should be banned. CSK did not select a single player in Tamil Nadu despite having talented players. Players from other states are given more importance in the team.

CSK is promoted as Tamil Nadu’s IPL team and earns huge commercial profits. Therefore, the Tamil Nadu government should ban the CSK team without Tamil Nadu players,” he said. No response was given by the government to this request.
