The Tamil Nadu government has today issued an ordinance banning the Kuravan-Kurathi game which is held during temple festivals in Tamil Nadu.
It has been reported that Kuravan has taken action after learning that dances and songs were being included in the performance during the game and were being performed obscenely and insulting a certain community.
It is to be noted that an order was issued on March 10 by the Tamil Nadu Department of Tourism, Culture and Charitable Institutions.
