Muscat: Oman’s Supreme Committee announces ban on large Iftar gatherings This was stated in a statement issued by the Supreme Committee of Oman in connection with the precautionary measures in Ramadan. Crowded Iftar dinners in mosques and tents in Oman will not be allowed this year.

The number of people attending the Taraweeh prayers will be limited. Those attending Taraweeh prayers should take the Kovid wax. With this provision, those who have not been vaccinated and children under the age of 12 will not be allowed to enter the mosques for Taraweeh prayers. Events, exhibitions and conferences in Oman, both locally and internationally, will continue to be regulated at 70 percent capacity. It is also suggested that those who experience respiratory problems should avoid congregational prayers and other gatherings.
