Banco Santander Foundation and Wikisphere They have carried out this past Saturday May 27 in Santander an edit-athon with the purpose of introducing in Wikipedia elements of the heritage of Cantabria at risk of disappearance or destruction, and thus promote their recovery.
The 18 participants in the event of the Santander Bank Foundation and Wikisphere have concretely introduced eleven heritage elements: the Ceballos Palace (Santa María de Cayon), Rigada Tower (Ribamontán al Monte), Round Village (Molledo), El Chorrillo waterway (Castro Urdiales), old schools of Terán (Cabuérniga), cartulary of the monastery of San Salvador de Oña (in the Provincial Archive), lazaret of Abaño (San Vicente de la Barquera), cave of the Witches (Suances), cave church of Campo de Ebro, palace of Revillagigedo ( Victory Branches) and the cave of Los Emboscados (Ruesga).
All of them are on the Red List of Hispania Nostra, a non-profit organization that defends, promotes and enhances cultural and natural heritage. Its Red List contains those assets that are at risk of disappearance, destruction, or essential alteration of their values.
