Santander Bank has received the Best Annual Report (large cap) and Best Use of Multimedia for Investor Relations awards from the financial publication IR Magazine.
On June 22, IR Magazine celebrated the 2023 edition of its annual awards ceremony in London. These awards have been a benchmark in the sector since 1990, and seek to value excellence and best practices in the field of investor relations. Likewise, these awards seek to recognize the information and communication of financial institutions. The prizes are awarded after a vote by European financial analysts and institutional investors.
Banco Santander, chaired by Ana Botin, has received awards in the Best Annual Report and Best Use of Multimedia for Investor Relations categories. It has also been a finalist in four other categories: Best overall Investor Relations, Best Investor Relations Officer (with the nomination of Begoña Morenés, Carlos Berastain and Fernando Donoso), Investor Relations Rising Star (Gerardo Maya), and Best Innovation in Shareholder Communications.
In this way, Banco Santander achieved for the second consecutive year the prize for the best Annual Report, which recognizes the content and innovation when it comes to presenting the results, the strategy, the main messages, and the entity’s data to the market. Likewise, the commitment to transparency and quality of information is valued, and to the level of digital and interactive formats presented to the market.
Regarding the award for the best use of multimedia in Investor Relations, it wants to highlight Banco Santander’s ability to use different multimedia tools developed by the Group itself to facilitate the work of analysts and the investment community. This recognition is especially important in a year in which Banco Santander has held its Investor Day, in which the Group explained its growth plan for the 2023-2025 period.
Regarding the awards in which Santander Bank has been a finalist, the Investor Relations team is recognized as one of the most outstanding among all companies at a European level, and in particular, the trajectory of Begoña Morenés, Carlos Berastain, Fernando Donoso, and Gerardo Maya is highlighted.
These awards value the collaboration strategy and teamwork on the part of various global areas of Banco Santander, such as the Financial Department, Investor Relations, General Secretary, Legal, Human Resources, Responsible Banking, Risks, Compliance, Communication and Marketing and Presidency.
Begoña Morenés, Director of Investor Relations at Banco Santander, pointed out that “These prestigious awards are a great recognition for the entire Investor Relations team and further reaffirm our commitment to achieving excellence and generating value for our shareholders.
