Bangladesh national team logistics manager and former cricketer Nafis Iqbal will be taken to Bangkok by air ambulance on Sunday for advanced medical treatment. This news has been confirmed by Nafees family sources. After that BCB senior doctor Debashish Chowdhury also confirmed the same news.
Nafees Iqbal suffered a stroke on Friday morning. He was quickly brought to Dhaka by air ambulance. He was admitted to Bangladesh Specialized Hospital. BCB doctor Debashish Chowdhury said that Nafees was diagnosed with cerebral venous thrombosis, a rare disease, after an examination there. But now he is much risk free. However, he will have to stay under intensive care for a few more days. In the meantime, the decision was made to go to Bangkok. He is being taken to Bangkok at the request of the family.
Debashish Chowdhury said, ‘Nafis’s family has decided to take him to Bangkok. He will be treated there. It is not an emergency. Now his physical condition is stable. What is better than before?
Quoting the doctors, Debashish added about Nafees’ disease, ‘This problem can be solved through conservative management. According to experts, if it does not get worse, then this problem can be completely cured. We are hopeful that Nafis will fully recover in a few weeks.’
