Bangladesh all-rounder Mahmudullah retires from Test cricket

Dhaka: Bangladesh’s all-rounder Mahmudullah has retired from Test cricket. Mahmudullah, 35, made his Test debut for the country in 2009.

Mahmudullah, who has played in 50 Tests, has scored 2914 runs at an average of 33.49. That would include five centuries and 16 fifties. He also took 43 wickets. Mahmudullah ends 12-year Test career

He last played a Test against Zimbabwe in July this year. Mahmudullah led the team to victory with 150 not out.

Mahmudullah said he would remain active in ODIs and Twenty20s. Mahmudullah led Bangladesh to the recently concluded Twenty20 World Cup.
