The first 20 over cricket match between Bangladesh and England teams took place in Chattogram yesterday. Batting first in the England team, openers Phil Salt (38 runs) and captain Jos Buttler (67 runs, 42 balls, 4 fours, 4 sixes) gave a strong start.
But the players who came behind did not take advantage of this. David Malan (4 runs) and Sam Curran (6 runs) disappointed. England were restricted to 156 for 6 in 20 overs. For Bangladesh, Hasan Makhmud took 2 wickets, Nasum Ahmed, Taskin Ahmed, Mustabijur Rahman and Shakib Al-Hasan took one wicket each.
Then the Bangladeshi team was in action right from the start. The team’s openers were Rony Talukdar with 21 runs, Litan Das with 12 runs and Tawkit Hridai with 24 runs.
