Bangladesh created history by defeating England

The first 20 over cricket match between Bangladesh and England teams took place in Chattogram yesterday. Batting first in the England team, openers Phil Salt (38 runs) and captain Jos Buttler (67 runs, 42 balls, 4 fours, 4 sixes) gave a strong start.

But the players who came behind did not take advantage of this. David Malan (4 runs) and Sam Curran (6 runs) disappointed. England were restricted to 156 for 6 in 20 overs. For Bangladesh, Hasan Makhmud took 2 wickets, Nasum Ahmed, Taskin Ahmed, Mustabijur Rahman and Shakib Al-Hasan took one wicket each.

Shakib Al-Hasan remained unbeaten on 34 and Abib Hussain on 15. Bangladesh player Najmul Hussain Shanto was awarded the man of the match award.

The 2nd 20 over match between these two teams will be held in Mirpur the day after tomorrow.
