The Consular Dialogue program was launched in 2017 to strengthen people-to-people ties by discussing and bettering consular, visa and mutual authorized cooperation between India and Bangladesh, the Ministry of Exterior Affairs mentioned on Wednesday (Could 29).

The assembly held wide-ranging discussions on consular points, visa points, repatriation, mutual authorized help agreements and mechanisms to strengthen coordination and cooperation in extradition. The Bangladeshi facet highlighted varied difficulties associated to acquiring visas for Bangladeshis, together with journey to India, amongst different points.
