After the T20 World Cup, the Bangladesh national cricket team is going to tour the West Indies to play a full series in November. Bangladesh will go on this tour as part of the ICC Future Tour Program (FTP). This was confirmed by the West Indies Cricket Board (CWI).
The Windies board yesterday released their domestic summer schedule on Friday (May 10). From there, it is known that Nazmul Hossain’s team will play a complete series of three editions on the soil of West Indies between November 22 and December 19.
The series will start with a test. The two Tests will be played in Antigua and Jamaica. A three-match ODI series will then be played in St. Kitts and Nevis. After that, the three-match T20 series will be played in St. Vincent. Bangladesh will also play a warm-up match in Antigua before the start of the Test series.
The Test series will begin with the first match on November 22 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound. The series is part of the ICC Test Championship. Then the second Test at Sabina Park in Jamaica starts from November 30.
The three matches of the ODI series will be played at Warner Park in St. Kitts on December 8, 10 and 12 respectively. After that, St. Vincent will fly to Bangladesh for the T20 series. There will be three matches on December 15, 17 and 19 respectively.
Bangladesh will play a two-match Test series against South Africa at home just before the West Indies tour. Before this, there is a tour of India in September-October. Besides, Bangladesh will tour Pakistan to play a two-match Test series in August-September. All in all, the Bangladesh team will be very busy in those few months.
