Today Thursday (August 22) the youth of Bangladesh faced Nepal in their second match in the group stage. If you can somehow draw in this match, you can go to the semi-finals as the group champion. In that case, they could have avoided a strong team like India in the last four. But due to the mistake of the goalkeeper, Bangladesh lost to Nepal by 2-1 in this match. The group became runners-up and advanced to the semis.

Nepal took the lead in the 17th minute of the match. At this time, Samir Tamang led the team by scoring a goal. Niranjan Dhami doubled the gap in 19 minutes. However, just before the break, Mirazul of Bangladesh reduced the gap by scoring a goal. Neither team scored after the break. Nepal left the field with a 2-1 victory.

Nepal will enter the field in the first semi-final on Sunday (August 25) afternoon. And Bangladesh will fight in the second semi-final on Monday (August 26) afternoon.

A total of six teams have participated in two groups in this year’s Youth Saf. Group ‘A’ had Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Group ‘B’ consists of India, Maldives and Bhutan.
