DIG/ In order to promote best professional practices, train and inform members on developments in the banking and financial sector, and develop a unique network of professionals, The Banking Club of the BGFIbank group met on Saturday December 9, 2023 at the weekend for a training seminar.

During this session, the members of the club were interviewed on the themes of banking regulation and the financial conditions of economic emergence.

Created in 2021, the banking club aims to equip professionals in the banking and financial sector with good practices.

“The banking club is an association which brings together professionals from the banking sector but also from the private sector in general.

Its aim is to create a space for sharing good practices, all regulatory developments and those that could impact the financial sector. The club has the advantage of allowing its members to be up to date with developments.

For the year 2024, it will be a question of expanding the number of members but also of impacting other sectors such as insurance. »said Pamphile Mezui Mbeng, director of BGFI Business School (BBS).

For his part, Professor Chicot Eboue spoke to members about the financial conditions for economic emergence.

“They involve moving towards broad economic conditions, both in the Cémac zone and here in Gabon.

In this sense, Gabon should lead the way in the sub-region, but this implies doubling production by 2035. To do this, it is a question of seeking the necessary banking and non-banking conditions.

When the banks have sufficient funds of their own, they will be able to finance national projects. All this implies that banks can put the reforms in place now”he stressed.
