Palladam,: Near Palladam, Sehgar, a jewelery appraiser working at the State Bank of India branch in Kettanur, was involved in a scam by cutting off some rings from a customer’s jewelery. Following a customer’s complaint, he was arrested and is under investigation. A meeting with bank officials and customers was held last month to discuss the issue of compensation for lost jewelery. Meanwhile, victims of jewelry fraud were involved in counseling. Compensation for calculated jewelry should be provided promptly. If the victims are not satisfied with the assessment, the matter should be reconsidered and appropriate compensation should be determined.
