According to the government decision, from Sunday to Tuesday (July 28 to 30), public and private offices will be open from 9 am to 3 pm. Bank transaction hours have also been extended on these days. Bank transactions will continue on these three days from 10 am to 3 pm. The Central Bank has confirmed this.
Regarding the schedule of bank transactions, Bangladesh Bank Executive Director and Spokesperson Mejbaul Haque said that for the next three days, bank transactions will continue from 10 am to 3 pm.
According to central bank sources, the government has extended the hours of office-court operations. Accordingly, bank transaction time will also increase. At the same time, bank check clearing time will also increase. The notification regarding the new schedule of check clearing will be issued on Sunday.
It is to be noted that the government announced a general holiday from last Sunday to Tuesday (July 21 to 23) with curfew imposed as the anti-quota student movement turned into violence. On Wednesday and Thursday, government and private offices were also opened to a limited extent and curfew was relaxed. The situation in the country is slowly becoming normal. The government is relaxing the curfew period. In this situation, the hours of public and private offices have also been extended. As a result, bank transaction time has also been extended.
