Libreville, March 13, 2024 (AGP)-On the occasion of a solemn ceremony, the pan-African bank UBA Gabon, opened a new agency, this Wednesday, March 13, 2024, in the commune of Akanda, in the presence of the representative of the Minister of ‘Economy and Participations, noted the AGP.
It was in the presence of the Secretary General of the Government, the administrative authorities of the commune of Akanda, officials of UBA Gabon and guests that the said ceremony was held.
In its strategic expansion aimed at providing quality services, perfectly adapted to the needs and expectations of customers, the UBA Gabon Group has opened the doors of its new banking agency, in the commune of Akanda, more precisely at the so-called Jiji crossroads.

Built in R+2, in a setting combining modernity, comfort and security, the new building is designed to offer its customers a warm and friendly welcome. This, by ensuring quality service through products and services adapted to their needs.
During her inaugural speech, the general director of UBA Gabon, Eugenia Onyekwelu said: “ UBA has resolutely embarked on a strategy of territorial expansion. Our objective is to be closer to our growing clientele, by offering local services. Indeed, the population of Akanda has continued to express the wish to have an agency in the commune. We just want to tell them, you dreamed it, UBA did it. This was the case in 2021, when we consecutively opened the Owendo and PK12 agencies. »
She did not fail to point out that “At UBA, we not only say that the customer is king, but above all he is our employer. Therefore, we will spare no effort to satisfy their every need,” she assured.
Subsequently inviting the populations of Akanda to come and visit their new agency, which offers a diversity of latest generation products and services, the boss of UBA Gabon praised the importance of this new agency. “It should also be noted that this new agency participates in the beautification of the commune of Akanda. And supports the efforts of the Gabonese government in creating jobs for Gabonese youth,” she concluded.
The representative of the Minister of the Economy, Cynthia Moussirou welcomed the expansion of this banking institution in Gabon, promising to support it, as with all other banks.
Fleurice Ingoule, Architect-Urban Planner, presented the new building: “ Bank agency in terms of offices, two ATMs, a commercial pool. A customer hall with 3 standard checkouts and 2 large deposit checkouts, as well as the Call center area. The project was completed in 8 months, instead of 5 as planned. The cost is estimated at around a hundred million FCFA,” he revealed. before rejoicing at the renewed confidence of this banking group in its policy of establishment on the national territory, in the design of the project and the monitoring of the works.
This ceremony ended with the cutting of the ribbon by the representative of the Minister of the Economy, Cynthia Moussirou and a guided tour of the new premises.
