Banks were given 175 billion rubles for preferential IT loans for industry

The government will allocate 175 billion rubles to banks. as compensation for the interest rate on preferential loans for companies to introduce domestic software and hardware and software systems. This follows from the materials for the speech of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at the conference “Digital Industry of Industrial Russia”, which took place on June 3.

“The government has identified Russian digital solutions as a priority for state-owned manufacturing corporations and companies. The share of their expenses for such purchases in the next 2-3 years should grow to 70% of all expenses for digitalization,” the prime minister said. Mishustin recalled that deadlines have been set for refusing to use foreign technologies at significant critical information infrastructure facilities: by 2025, all foreign solutions and hardware and software systems are scheduled to be decommissioned and replaced with Russian ones. The industrial sector in Russia takes the third place on the level of costs for implementation and use of digital technologies after IT and financial sectors, but only 23% of the IT solutions used in the industry are domestic, he noted.
