jpnn.comSERANG – Police have followed up on the discovery of the body of a foreign national (WNA) found on Marbella Anyer Beach, Anyer District, Serang Regency on Friday (2/8).
The Banten Police Water Police Directorate has also conducted an investigation regarding the identity of the body.
“After further investigation, the results of the search from the Marbela Hotel guest data found that the victim had stayed on February 2, 2024 with the identity Iakovos Poukamisas, an Athina citizen (Greece) born on February 21, 1955, address Cakung, East Jakarta, private sector job,” said Dirpolairud Polda Banten Kombes Yunus Hadith Pranoto, on Tuesday (13/08).
Yunus said that his party had visited the crime scene and conducted interviews with witnesses around the location.
“The first witness, Zulfikar, a hotel security guard who met the victim on July 25, 2024. The victim admitted that his name was Ahmad and he came from Greece. At that time, the victim intended to commit suicide and showed a glass bottle containing a roll of white paper,” he said.
Then the victim also met another witness named Jamsah, who was entrusted with items by the victim in the form of a prayer guide book, a prayer mat, a power bank, a marker, and a large shell with a message and the victim’s identity written on it.
Furthermore, Yunus also revealed that his party had carried out a request for information from Asti Hertina, who is the victim’s legal wife, and asked for information from Nurhayati, the victim’s concubine.
“It is true that the victim married Asti Hertina in 2010 in Surabaya, East Java, and was blessed with a son, while Nurhayati was a common-law wife who married on August 16, 2018,” he said.
