Tonight, the Bar Association publishes the results of the bar exams: 2,188 interns took the bar exams held on December 28, 2022, of which 62% passed the exams and 38% failed. This is a significant increase in the number of people passing the exam. On the date that took place six months ago, 43% of those who approached passed and on the date before that only 40%.

The passing percentage of the first-time examinees is 79% – 1,386 interns. Of those who approached the second time, 38% passed, and of those who approached the third time, 30% passed.
Also this year, as in previous years, there are noticeable differences between the transfer percentages in universities and colleges. 93% of the university graduates who applied (418) passed the exam and 57% (1,608) of the college graduates.
It is important to emphasize that there are large differences in the passing percentages between the colleges: at Sapir College 91% of the interns who applied passed the exam (61), at the Management College 84% (187) and at the Peres Academic Center 79% (66). In contrast, only 39% of the interns from the Academic Center for Law and Business passed, 52% from the Ono Academic College and 53% from Sha’arei Mishpat College.
From the universities – 98% of Bar Ilan’s students transferred, 96% from the Hebrew University, 94% from Haifa University and 93% from Tel Aviv University. Among those applying for the first time – 98% of Haifa and Bar Ilan University students passed.
The analysis of the data according to the place of specialization shows that the highest transition percentages are in the prosecutor’s office (92%), then in the courts (75%), in the legal offices of the government (70%). Most of the examinees are from the private sector, where the passing percentage is 55% out of 1,522 examinees. This is a significant increase from last year, when the transition percentage of the graduates of the private offices was 39%.
