Frank Marshall he is busy directing a multi-part documentary about the life and career of Barbra Streisand.
The project, announced by Sony Music Vision, will also count on the presence of the expert Alex Gibney in the production team.
The star project
The documentary will explore every side of Barbra Streisand’s life, counting on access to the archives of the singer, actress and director. On the screen you will therefore be able to see content taken from hundreds of hours of personal and unpublished videos, as well as photos, audio recordings and memories linked to his career.

The music and film star, in a statement, said that for years he had been thinking about a way to share the contents that he has cherished for a long time and that are linked to some of his most precious memories. Producer Alex Gibney and director Frank Marshall therefore agreed to undertake this journey with her which will then be shared with fans.
Barbra also wanted to thank Tom Mackay, head of Sony Music, for believing in the project, and Rob Stringer, head of the record company, for his support of the various creative projects.

Marshall added that the multi-part documentary will allow the use of previously unreleased material to explain why Streisand has become an icon known and loved by all generations.
Gibney ultimately defined Barbra as “a legendary singer, an extraordinary actress, director and political activist who inspires us all“. The producer wanted to conclude by underlining: “Did I forget to mention that she’s also a great storyteller and incredibly funny?“.
