Barcelona Edges Manchester City in Penalty Shootout in Florida Pre-Season Clash

Barcelona won, in a penalty shootout, against Manchester City, in a preseason friendly held in Florida, United States.

In the first preparation match for the blaugrana, there was a 2-2 draw in regulation time, leading to a penalty shootout.

Paulo Victor opened the scoring for Barça in the 24th minute, but Nico O’Reilly equalized a quarter of an hour later for City, who still do not have Bernardo Silva, João Cancelo, and Rúben Dias available.

Pablo Torre restored Hansi Flick’s team’s lead just before halftime, but Jack Grealish made it 2-2 at the hour mark. In the penalties, Barcelona triumphed 4-2.

For Pep Guardiola’s squad, who faced Barça again, this was the third preseason match, following defeats to Celtic and Milan. The culés started their preparations later.
