Coach Xavi Hernandez says Barcelona suffered a lot in the La Liga match against Villarreal. Xavi said that the Catalan club had won the match by three goals to one after a goalless first half, and that Une Emery’s team did not deserve to lose and that Barcelona’s performance still had a long way to go.

Xavi praised Barcelona’s players and criticized them, saying that Barcelona had the unlucky luck against Benfica. “We started well, had the ball and opened the field. But we need to be able to play better than this. All victories are welcome as we have just started. But we still have to dominate the ball and hold the ball more in the opponent’s half.” Xavi clarified.
The goals were scored by Frankie de Jong, Memphis DePay and Coutinho for Barcelona. Xavi said that Memphis were responsible for the team’s penalty, but that the last-minute penalty was awarded to Coutinho. He added that the act proved that Barcelona was a family.
