He is SO good that he even makes his teammates despair…
Mega-star Lamine Yamal (17) brought teammate Pau Cubarsi (17) to tears during a training session with FC Barcelona’s U15 team. This is reported by the Barça podcast “Bar Canaletes.” The reason: Cubarsi apparently just couldn’t stop the offensive talent at that time!
The center-back was said to have desperately searched for a way to separate Yamal from the ball. But it was in vain; he simply couldn’t find a solution!

As a result, the young Spaniard is said to have burst into tears. The coach had to calm and support Cubarsi in a conversation after training.
The coach assured: “Lamine Yamal is a player that people will talk about later. You should be proud to be on the same team as him.”
And he was right! Both Yamal and Cubarsi are now part of the professional squad of the Catalans – leading a new generation at FC Barcelona.
Cubarsi made his professional debut in January 2024 at the age of 16 (4-2 against Real Betis). In April, former Barça coach Xavi (44) called him an “incredible player” and “world-class.” Xavi raved at the time: “The players from La Masia bring so much dedication to the team.”
Currently, Cubarsi has made 29 competitive appearances for the Blaugrana. This season, under new coach Hansi Flick (59), he has started all five league matches.
And Yamal is also dazzling for the current leaders of the Spanish league! The winger – who made his professional debut back in April 2023 at the age of 15 (4-0 against Real Betis) – has already scored three goals and provided four assists this season.
Yamal also shone at the European Championship in Germany for the champion Spain. However, his buddy Cubarsi was not nominated but made his debut for the Spanish national team earlier this year – in March.
Hopefully, those tears are forgotten by now…
