Barid Al-Maghrib issues a postage stamp to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Bayt Mal Al Qods Acharif Agency (press release)

A ceremony to unveil this special program was organized on Monday at the headquarters of the Bayt Mal Al Qods Acharif Agency in Rabat, as part of an artistic exhibition organized by the Agency, under the high patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, under the theme “Poetry in the colors of Al Qods: poems in the colors of the pens of visual artists”, indicates a press release from the Barid Al-Maghrib Group.

“This postage stamp illustrates a superposition of the religious symbols of the city of Al-Quds, namely the Dome of the Rock and Al Masjid Al-Aqsa as well as the Palestinian flag which appears on the background of the stamp,” explains the same source, adding that “the logo of the commemoration, for its part, highlights the 25th anniversary of the Bayt Mal Al Qods Acharif Agency.”

This ceremony was marked by the presence of Mohammed Mehdi Bensaid, Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Jamal Choubki, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Morocco, Jumana Ghneimat, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Morocco, Mohammed Salem Cherkaoui, Director in charge of the management of the Bayt Mal Al Qods Acharif Agency and Amin Benjelloun Touimi, General Manager of the Barid Al-Maghrib Group, the press release said.

This new special issue enriches the collection of postage stamps dedicated to the theme of Al Quds, which includes in particular “Al Quds, capital of Palestine” in 2019, “Al Quds, capital of Arab culture” in 2009, “Twinning Al Quds-Fez” and “For the well-being of the families of martyrs and fighters for the freedom of Palestine” in 1984 or “Palestine Week” in 1966, the press release concludes.
