(Beit Shemesh, Israel) – A heavy barrage of missiles was fired into the Beit Shemesh area and the Yehuda lowlands on Thursday. Despite the intensity of the attacks, no damage or casualties were reported in the targeted areas. However, in a separate incident, five people were hospitalized at Barzilai Hospital, two of them in critical condition, after rockets struck the town of Sderot.

At this stage, no calls have been received regarding any falls or casualties resulting from the missile attacks on Beit Shemesh and the Yehuda Lowlands. The Home Front Command urged residents to remain vigilant and follow safety protocols.

Earlier today, a barrage of rockets launched from the Gaza Strip hit Sderot, injuring five individuals. Two of them are in critical condition, with two others sustaining serious injuries. All casualties were promptly evacuated to nearby Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon, where they received immediate medical attention for shrapnel injuries.

Reflecting on the incident, Elor Twil, an emergency medicine medic, recounted the events as follows: “I was standing right next to the ambulance when the alarm started. I immediately shouted to all the citizens in the area to seek shelter in a protected area. Just a few seconds later, we heard a loud noise of a falling rocket. Following the instructions of the Home Front Command, we waited a few more minutes in the protected area, and when it was safe, we went outside. It was then that I saw that the shrapnel had hit the ambulance. The fact that we listened and implemented the life-saving instructions of the Home Front Command kept us safe. This event could have ended in tragedy.”

The Israeli military is currently investigating the source of the rocket attacks. Authorities remain on high alert and continue to monitor the situation closely.
