With an enormous performance by Ramiro Ledesma, Barrio Parque added the second consecutive victory in the 2023/2024 season of the Argentine Basketball League. At home, the team led by Esteban Pierdominici beat Armstrong’s Deportivo Norte by 81 to 71.
Ledesma was the outstanding figure of Verde del Sur and of the match with 33 points, scoring 11/11 in doubles, 2/5 in triples and 5/7 in free throws, plus 6 rebounds and 4 assists in 23 minutes and obtaining a rating of 42. For his part, captain Lautaro Rivata contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds.
The match was even. Deportivo Norte arrived “enlarged” by its victory last Wednesday against Atenas itself at the Cerutti. The Verde del Sur also won the duel. It surpassed San Isidro de San Francisco in its previous presentation. And they took the first quarter at the Theater of Dreams by 21-19.
In the second chapter, Parque made a difference. The Benjamins, Giorgetti and Herrera, brought points from the bench (five each), to add to Ledesma’s scoring task, and Pierdominici’s team went into halftime winning 51-35.
North improved, reduced and even took the lead 62-60, closing the third chapter.
Barrio Parque quickly regained control in the final quarter, but the 10 minutes were stick by stick. The visit was three down (70-73), but Ledesma nailed a fair triple, to give it a lead of 6 (76-70) with one minute left. They were the points that ensured victory for Parque, which has two wins and one loss at the start of the campaign.
Parque’s next presentation will be as a visitor, on October 24 against Villa San Martín de Chaco.
