BNP standing committee member and former minister barrister Rafiqul Islam Mia, admitted to the hospital, is said to be in good health but not out of danger.
Thursday (April 18) Health Affairs Secretary of BNP Dr. Mo Rafiqul Islam went to the hospital to inquire about his treatment and consulted the doctors.

Mo Rafiqul Islam said that Barrister Rafiqul Islam Miah was admitted to the hospital on an emergency basis due to bleeding with urine and occasional stoppage of urination for the past few days. Currently, his physical condition is somewhat better, but he is not free from danger. He will have to stay in the hospital for a few more days.
On April 15, he was admitted to a private hospital in Dhaka due to urological and respiratory problems. He is currently undergoing treatment there.
It is to be noted that barrister Rafiqul Islam Mia was treated at Dhaka Medical Hospital when he fell ill in prison in 2018. Later, through various tests at home and abroad, it was found that he became ill due to the problem of his spinal bones. He also underwent brain surgery in Singapore.
The acting chairman of BNP, Tariq Rahman, barrister Rafiqul Islam, is keeping regular track of Mia’s treatment, said BNP’s health affairs secretary Dr. Mo Rafiqul Islam.
