The popular sports journalist, during the last episode of Today is another day on Rai1, confessed to Serena Bortone that he had discovered that he had a tumor “doing completely different checks“and to be awaiting the last exams, which could decree his victory over evil.

Alongside Marino Bartoletti, in this difficult moment of his life, there are his two daughters and grandchildren Filippo and Alice, who for him represent the”best medicine“. The fight against cancer, however, did not keep him away from his passions, quite the contrary. After discovering he was ill, Bartoletti threw himself into writing his own body and soul book “The dinner of the gods“, today a finalist at the Selezione Bancarella award. The attention and the media hype surrounding his illness gave him the opportunity to send a message of thanks: “I was lucky enough and found out what I had by doing a completely different exam. I want to thank the health staff by calling them by name and not by surname. Thanks to the specialists who treated me: Eugenio, Giovanni, Carlo, Marinella, Damiano, then the paramedics who every day put me in a tube supporting me and taking care of me“.
