The sports world continues to be affected by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, when today (Thursday) Barcelona even officially announced that it will not fly to Russia ahead of its Euroleague match against Zenit St Petersburg.
The Catalans were supposed to meet the Russian team and later CSKA, but did not leave Spain for Russia. The Euroleague says despite this that the factory will continue as long as the teams are not at risk, meaning they will not reach the Russian region.
Meanwhile, Euroleague president Jordi Bartomeu will enter an emergency Euroleague meeting in Zoom and consider the continued operation of the plant in the shadow of the war.
