The country’s first International Jewelery Machinery Exhibition Bangladesh (IJMEB)-2024 was officially inaugurated by Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan.
He inaugurated the international exhibition by cutting the ribbon at Pushpaguchch Hall of International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital on Thursday (July 04).
Bashundhara Group Director Ahmed Ibrahim Sobhan, East West Media Group Director and Chief Editor of Kaler Kantha Imdadul Haque Milan, Bashundhara Group Press and Media Adviser Mohammad Abu Taib and other Bajus leaders were present.
FBCCI President Mahbubul Alam was present as the chief guest in the inaugural function. Senior Vice-President of FBCCI Amin Helali, former President of FBCCI and Chairman of Neetal Niloy Group Abdul Matlub Ahmad were special guests.
Kranti Nagvekar, founder and chief executive officer of Indian company KNC Services, Dilip Kumar Roy, spokesperson and former president of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS), and Sumit Ghosh Apu, vice president, were also present. Bajus advisor Ruhul Amin Russell presided over the opening ceremony.
Bangladesh Jewelers Association-Bajus, the largest traditional and product-oriented trade organization of the country and Indian company KNC Services jointly organized this exhibition with the aim of setting up new jewelery factories in the country and adding modern technology to the old factories and developing it as an export-oriented sector. The theme of the exhibition is ‘Touch of Technology in Jewellery’.
This exhibition will continue till July 6. The exhibition is open to trade visitors daily from 11 am to 7 pm. About 30 companies from around 10 countries including India, Italy, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Germany, China and Thailand are participating in the first international jewelery machinery exhibition.
8 companies from India are participating in the exhibition – Tishya CNC Engineering Works, Neo Instruments, Micro Mac Industries Pvt Ltd, Anant Jewels & Technology, Solanki Machinery Works, Era Corporation, Quantum Equipment & Accjet Solutions, Pasio Traders Pvt Ltd.
2 Italian companies JTE and Fasti; 2 companies in Turkey, Otec and Guvenis; Fischer of Germany; Do It Industries Pvt Ltd of China; BASIC JEWELRY COMPANY LIMITED OF THAILAND.
5 organizations from Bangladesh are participating—Dreams Instrument Technology, Raja Aishwari, Expert Instruments, Trust Instruments Bangladesh and Raerts BD.
