He said the prime minister and government must step down to form a new government if stability is to prevail in the country.
He also pointed out that it would be completely wrong for them to think that the economic crisis could be overcome by a majority of 113 parliamentarians.
He also expressed dissatisfaction with the appointment of a new foreign minister at a time when the country was facing a crisis.
At the same time, he insisted that he would hold talks with the government in the event of the removal of Shantha Bandara from the post of Foreign Minister.
However, it is noteworthy that Shantha Bandara has stated that he accepted the post of Foreign Minister due to the failure of the plan put forward by the group of independent parliamentarians.
