(ANSA) – ROME, MARCH 05 – The confirmation of the Suns, the defeat of the Clippers and Damian Lillard’s show with Portland are the salient notes of tonight’s turn in the NBA. The Phoenix team, second in the Western Conference standings, behind the Utah Jazz, clearly beat the Warriors with a score of 120-98 and continue to chase the top. Also on the field with Golden State is the Italian Nico Mannion, for the first time in the field (9 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists). Another bad night for the Clippers, who fell at the hands of the Washington Wizards, certainly not irresistible on paper, yet capable of dealing a hard blow to the ambitions of the Californians, defeated 119-117. Leading the Wizards’ unexpected success were Bradley Beal, who scored 33 points, and Russell Westbrook who signed 27 points, 11 assists and 9 rebounds. But the star of the NBA night was Damian Lillard, who scored 44 for Portland in the match that his team won against the Kings for 123-119. Positive turn also for the Bucks, third in the Eastern Conference, won 112-111 from the match against the Grizzlies, practically bent by a Jrue Holiday basket at the sound of the siren. In the other games, Boston’s victory over Toronto for 132-125, that of Miami over New Orleans for 103-93, and that of Okc over the Spurs for 107-102 are worthy of note. (HANDLE).
