MADRID, 31 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Baskonia will retire the shirt of former Argentine player Luis Scola, who played for the Vitorian team for seven seasons, this Friday at the Buesa Arena, just before the start of the Euroleague Regular Phase match against Partizan (8:30 p.m.).

“This Friday the Gasteiztarra club will honor the man who was a Baskonista player for seven seasons. Luis Scola’s shirt will remain forever at the top of the Barça pavilion after his retirement in the preview of the match between Baskonia and Partizan. Luis Scola will return to the court in which he enjoyed so much during the seven seasons that he was part of the Barça team,” reported the Basque club.

Scola, who was captain of the team, won an ACB League (2001-02), three Copa del Rey (2001-02, 2003-04 and 2005-06) and three Super Cups (2005, 2006 and 2007), and also won three qualifications for the Euroleague Final Four (2005, 2006 and 2007).

The Argentine debuted for Baskonia on October 22, 2000 in a match against Joventut de Badalona. Since then, he defended the Barça jersey in a total of 447 games, 303 in the ACB and 144 in the Euroleague, thus being the fourth player in the club’s history with the most games as a Barça player.
