Basra hosts tomorrow the Iraqi Fencing Championship for provincial teams

/ The Iraqi Fencing Federation announced, on Thursday, that the Iraq Cup Championship for provincial teams will be held in Basra.

The head of the federation, Ziad Hassan, told Shafak News Agency that the federation formed a committee to supervise the championship to prepare all organizational matters, as this championship is the most important for Iraqi fencers and will be hosted by the fencing hall in Basra tomorrow.

He pointed out that all the Iraqi teams have arrived in Basra and the competitions will continue until the end of this year, noting that the Federation has assigned the technical committee to follow up on the tournament to test the fencers who will achieve advanced results in the tournament to include them in the Iraqi teams.

The International Fencing Federation appointed the head of the Iraqi Federation, Ziad Hassan Al-Aboudi, as supervisor of the World Fencing Championships, which took place last month in Hong Kong.
