DRAIN. An intervention to rescue a 61-year-old man from Arco who fell into the ravine of the river ended just before 6pm. Rio Sallagoni (Drains). The man, urgently airlifted to the Santa Chiara hospital in Trento, was in the upper part of the route of the Rio Sallagoni via ferrata, towards the Drena castle, to carry out some maintenance and cleaning work, when he slipped and fell about 15 metresi, ending up in the river gorge and initially losing consciousness. The call to the Single Emergency Number 112 came around 3.30pm from the people who were with him.
The Centrale Unica di Trentino Emergenza requested the intervention of the helicopter, while the operators of the Riva del Garda Alpine and Speleological Rescue Station and the Fire Brigade were brought to the scene, reaching the injured person by walking down the path from Drena Castle. The air rescue technician and the medical team were disembarked in a nearby meadow and then reached the injured person, who in the meantime had regained consciousness, with a lowering.
The man was taken care of by the health team who stabilized him. Afterwards, with the stretcher, he was transported on the shoulder to the meadows above, where he was entrusted to the air ambulance for emergency transport to the Santa Chiara hospital in Trento.
