The board of directors of Bata Su Bangladesh Limited, a multinational company listed in the tannery sector in the capital market, has released the unaudited financial report for the second quarter (April-June, 2024) and half-yearly (January-June, 2024) of the current financial year. According to the published report, the profit per share of the company decreased by 15 percent in the current quarter.

On Wednesday (July 31), Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchange (DSE-CSE) informed this information.

The financial report for the quarter discussed in the meeting of the company’s board of directors held earlier on Tuesday (July 30) was released after review and approval.

In the second quarter of the current financial year, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) was Tk 13.73. The profit per share was Rs. 22.11 in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. Accordingly, the company’s profit per share has decreased by Tk 8.38 or 38 percent in the quarter under discussion.

In the first two quarters of the accounting year, the EPS of the bank has been Tk 27.16 in 6 months. EPS in the corresponding period of the previous financial year was Rs.32.07. Accordingly, the profit per share of the company decreased by Tk 4.91 or 15 percent in the quarter under discussion.

As on June 30, 2024, the company’s net asset value per share (NAVPS) stood at Tk 265.08.
