BATBC tops weekly trade on DSE

British American Tobacco⁣ Tops Dhaka ‍Stock Exchange Transactions

On the ⁢Dhaka Stock ‌Exchange (DSE), the British American ⁢Tobacco Bangladesh Company (BATBC) Ltd., listed in the food and related sector, emerged as ⁣the top traded company and mutual ‍fund ⁤during the⁤ week of August 5th to 8th.

This information was revealed in DSE’s weekly market‍ review published on Saturday (August⁢ 10th).

During the week, BATBC shares were traded for Tk 34.72 crore, accounting for 4.16⁤ percent of ⁢the total transactions on DSE. ⁣This performance placed the company at the top‍ of‍ the trading list.

Following BATBC, Square Pharma ranked second with shares traded ⁤for Tk 28.46 crore (3.41 percent ​of total transactions), while City⁢ Bank came‍ in third‍ with‍ shares traded for Tk⁤ 25.69 crore (3.08 percent ⁣of total ‌transactions).

Other notable transactions included Unilever Consumer⁣ (Tk 24⁣ crore 65 lakh 60 thousand), BRAC Bank (Tk 22⁣ crore 47‍ lakh 40 thousand), Techno Drugs (Tk ⁤20 crore ​86 ⁤lakh 30 thousand), Uttara Bank (Tk ​18 crore ⁢22 lakh 10 thousand), Sea Pearl Hotel (15 crore 37 lakh 40​ thousand‌ taka), Trust Bank (15 crore 24 lakh‍ 70 thousand​ taka), and⁣ Robi Aziata (12 crore 88 lakh ‌taka).
