British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company Limited (BATBC), a listed company in the food and related sector, has topped the list of companies and mutual funds in the outgoing week (August 25 to 29) on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the country’s main capital market.
This information was revealed on the basis of DSE’s weekly market review on Saturday (August 31).
According to the data, during the week, the company saw an average daily turnover of Tk 69.57 crore, which was 8.78 percent of the total turnover on DSE. As a result, the company is at the top of the transaction.
Olympique Industries Ltd., ranked second in the transaction list, saw an average share turnover of Tk 373.2 million, which is 4.71 percent of the total transactions on the DSE.
Grameenphone Limited, ranked third, saw an average share turnover of Tk 34.35 crore, which is 4.33 percent of the total turnover on DSE.
Among other companies in the list of transactions – Renata Tk 32 crore 64 lakh, BRAC Bank Tk 28 crore 76 lakh, MJL Bangladesh Tk 25 crore 58 lakh, Square Farmer Tk 21 crore 39 lakh, Midland Bank Tk 19 crore 58 lakh, Beximco Pharma Tk 13 crore 30 lakh taka and shares of Jamuna Bank 12 crore 97 lakh taka were traded.
