The head of Government, Marti Batresstated this Thursday that he has complied with the resolution of the Electoral Institute of Mexico City, but that will challenge the precautionary measures because it considers them incorrect because at no time did he call to vote for or against any political force, or the electoral process, but rather specific clarifications.

In a press conference, the president said that yesterday he was notified of the resolution by the electoral body, and He noted that he has always complied with the law and will continue to do so.

He affirmed that he has complied with the law punctually, as well as with the electoral ban, and will continue to do so, but Those who do not comply with the law and violate the ban are the public servants who accuse him.

“We have punctually respected the so-called electoral ban, which is why we adhere to what the law establishes, what the law allows and, of course, we respect the prohibitions established by the law,” stressed the licensed senator.

“We are going to comply with the precautionary measures indicated by the Electoral Institute of Mexico City, and we are also going to challenge said precautionary measures and the resolution of the Electoral Institute of Mexico City before the corresponding authorities.”

Batres stressed that in the statements he has issued he has never called for a vote, neither for nor against anyone, and has limited himself to making the corresponding clarifications that have to do with falsehoods that are said about the City government. from Mexico.

The head of Government reiterated that if there is a falsehood against the government of Mexico City, he will make the corresponding clarification, because he will not allow lies to be told.

“We are not going to allow lies to be told about the City government, any falsehood that exists, we are going to clarify it, as we have been doing. We will continue to exercise our right of reply and, of course, complying with the right to information that citizens have,” he noted.

The capital’s president pointed out that the contrast of things catches his attention, because it is not the city government that has intervened in the electoral process, and he has seen other public servants who are “very involved.”

The electoral ban is not a ban for the head of the Executive, but for all powers, for public servants of the different powers, said Martí Batres.

“It draws our attention that a public servant of the Congress of Mexico City, “He is the one who gives his opinion, not only does he give his opinion, it seems that he has a responsibility in a campaign directly,” accused Batres, alluding to the PAN deputy, Federico Döring.

What’s more, he is a public servant and, at the same time, a candidate, so it is not us, he maintained.

He also reproached the fact that opposition mayors get involved in the electoral process, hold a press conference, give their opinion on the electoral process, and launch themselves as public servants against a candidate, “the world is upside down,” he said.
