jpnn.com – DENPASAR – The process of matching and researching (coklit) voter data for the 2024 Bali Pilkada is considered imperfect.

The reason is, the Bali Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) found that there were still voters who had not been recorded in the coklit process carried out by officers in the field.

This was discovered during a patrol to monitor voting rights. Bawaslu found that there were disabled voters in Bangli Regency who had not been registered.

“The right to vote is a vital element in democracy. Through this patrol, Bawaslu is committed to ensuring that in the simultaneous elections all citizens who meet the requirements to vote can exercise their right to vote,” said Bawaslu Bali member Ketut Ariyani in Denpasar, Tuesday (9/7).

Ariyani said that patrols to monitor voting rights were carried out by visiting vulnerable voters whose voting rights were potentially neglected.

These vulnerable groups include disabled voters, indigenous people, people who do not live according to their Resident Identity Card (KTP), and people who have died but are still on the voter list.

The patrol, continued Ariyani, is also in accordance with the Bawaslu RI Instruction Letter Number 6235.1 of 2024 concerning the Patrol to Supervise the Monitoring of Voting Rights.

Then, it is also in accordance with the Circular Letter of Bawaslu RI Number 89 of 2024 concerning Prevention of Violations and Supervision of the Compilation of the Voter List.

Bawaslu Bali found that there were still voters who had not been recorded in the 2024 Pilkada matching and research (colit) process.
