Irankunda had the opportunity to play in front of thousands of Indonesian spectators at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (10/9/2024).
The 18-year-old footballer defended Australia against the Indonesian National Team in the second match of Group C of the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in the Asian zone.
Irankunda felt happy playing in front of around 70 thousand spectators who filled SUGBK.
“It’s nice to feel the presence of such a huge audience,” said Irankunda as reported by The West.
Furthermore, Irankunda also commented on the game of the Indonesian National Team which was able to hold Australia to a goalless draw, aka 0-0.
According to him, the Garuda Squad has presented several threats that have made things difficult for Australia.
“They (the Indonesian National Team, ed.) gave us a number of problems. One point is no problem even though we are targeting three points,” he continued.
