Bayern – Olympiakos 72-76: Munich “beat”!

Olympiacos celebrates a precious double in Munich, which beat Bayern with a score of 76-72, in the 25th game of the Euroleague, thus making it 2/2 in the penultimate “devil’s week” of the season.

The game was thrilling from start to finish, with 16 lead changes, with the final minutes being… a thriller. But the Piraeus found the necessary solutions both offensively and defensively, reaching a very big victory in view of the continuation. However, Olympiacos had an answer and with a 4-0 run reduced to 44-41 at 25′. The Red and Whites found solutions offensively with Walkup and making a partial 7-3 went ahead with the score 48-47. Barzoka’s players were able to maintain the lead and closed the quarter at +3 with 54-51.

Olympiacos started the last period strongly, reaching +9 for the first time (60-51) led by the terrible Walkap. Bayern’s response was immediate with Ibaka leading the way, going on an 8-0 run to cut it to 60-59. The game then became a derby, with both teams hitting long shots with the Red and Whites leading 68-65 at 36′. The match continued to be close, with Giorgos Bartzokas’ team being at +3 (70-67) at 38′. In the last phases the Piraeus were very cool, they found points with shots from Petrusev and Larentzakis, thus reaching the final 76-72 and the pink match sheet.
