Erika Eleniak, Nicole Eggert, and Carmen Electra were among the fifteen actors and actresses from “Baywatch” who gathered on Monday, August 26, in Santa Monica, California. All were invited to the premiere of a documentary about the cult series from the 90s, which is set to arrive soon on Disney+, “After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun.”

Unfortunately, the two most iconic lifeguards, David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson, were absent. There was also no sign of David Charvet, Yasmine Bleeth, or Donna D’Errico.

Nonetheless, it was something to see on screen the original lifeguard of the series, Erika Eleniak, also known as Shauni McClain, 54 years old, or Jeremy Jackson, 43, who played Hobie, David Hasselhoff’s young son on screen. Nicole Eggert was present, six months after revealing that she had been diagnosed with cancer. Shaved since March, the actress who portrayed Summer told “People” that “the hardest part” is yet to come.

In a “gray area”

“I am in a kind of gray area: I have finished my treatment, I am waiting for further imaging tests and, I hope, a surgical intervention,” explained the 52-year-old actress. “There is a lot of waiting, and it is something I wasn’t really aware of and that no one really talks about.”

A four-episode documentary series, “After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun” promises to explore the sexual relationships, scandals, and impact of “Baywatch,” from racism to Pamela Anderson’s sex tape (romanced in “Pam & Tommy”). According to “The Daily Beast”, who has seen it, the program feels more like a promotional tool than an in-depth analysis of the famous series.
