BCCI announces increase in monthly pensions of former players and umpires- Dinamani

The BCCI has announced a 100% increase in the monthly pensions of former cricketers and former umpires.

BCCI President Ganguly commented on this:

It is important to take care of the ex-players’ money needs. It is the duty of the BCCI to support the players after the cricket season is over. Referees – Undeserved heroes. He said the BCCI is realizing their contribution.

BCCI Secretary Jai Shah said: The BCCI is concerned about the welfare of current or former players. That is why we have increased their monthly pension. We value the role of arbitrators. We hereby express our gratitude to them for their service to Indian cricket. 900 people will benefit from this. Of these, 75% said they had raised their monthly pensions by 100%. The amount of medical expenses for ex-servicemen has also been increased. Prior to this, Rs. 5 lakhs which is currently Rs. 10 lakhs. Those who have played in more than 10 first-class cricket matches can take advantage of this.

Monthly pension details of ex-servicemen

* Rs. 15,000 was provided. At present Rs. 30,000 will be provided.

* Former Test cricketers before Rs. 37,500 was provided. At present Rs. 60,000 will be provided.

* Previously Rs. 50,000 pensioners will now get Rs. 70,000 will be received.

* Former players who have played international cricket previously earned Rs. 30,000 recipients will now get Rs. 52,500 will be received.

* Retirees in first-class cricket before 2003, previously earning Rs. 22,500 received. From now on Rs. 45,000 will be received.
