A BCCI official said, “Sanju Samson’s name was never discussed in the selection committee meeting for the T20 World Cup in Australia. He was given a chance in the Zimbabwe series. India’s next match
Before the T20 World Cup, the Indian team will play series against Australia and South Africa. The 3-match T20I series against Australia starts from September 20. This will be followed by the T20 World Cup in Australia starting on October 16. India will play their first match against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 23.
