In this case, it has been confirmed that Sourav Ganguly did not contest for the post of BCCI president in this election. However, it is said that Jai Shah has decided to re-contest for the post of secretary. New Zealander Craig Barclay is currently the president of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Since last November 2020, his tenure in the post of President is going to end in November this year. The current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly is set to contest the upcoming ICC president election. It is said that he is not contesting for the BCCI president.
Accordingly, it is being said that Roger Binny, the former all-rounder of the Indian team, will file his nomination today for the post of BCCI president, and then he will be unanimously elected as the president. Roger Binny, who has been the president of the Karnataka Cricket Association since 2019, has also served as a member of the BCCI selection committee. In 1983, Roger Binny was part of the Indian team that won the ODI World Cup led by Kapil Dev. He had the honor of being the player who took the most wickets in that match.
