jpnn.comJAKARTA – Singer Bunga Citra Lestari (BCL) has collaborated with Malaysian musician, Yuna.
This synergy resulted in the latest song entitled Watak Utama which was released on Friday (13/9).
Yuna, who is none other than BCL’s sister-in-law, wrote the song with Pierre Jamerson Jr. who also acted as producer.
“The title of the song was created by Yuna, I also participated here to write the lyrics for the song. The combination of two languages, so I wrote the lyrics in Indonesian. This work was written by Yuna, me and Pierre Jamerson Jr,” said Bunga Citra Lestari.
According to BCL, the making of Watak Utama songs did not just happen.
For a long time, the wife of Adam Sinclair (the late Ashraf Sinclair’s younger brother) often talked and approved of the desire to duet with Yuna.
“I’ve wanted to for a long time. Okay, we’re sisters, sisters in law, and both singers. But we’ve never had a project together, and I’m someone who really adores Yuna and her works,” explained BCL.
“While listening to Yuna’s songs, there was one song that already existed, which was planned to be Yuna’s own project. Then I said, ‘This song is catchy. I can sing this song.’ Then she was like; ‘you want?’ and so on. Then finally it was decided that we would make this song into a duet,” he continued.
